Day 1 — Arrival · First spark
Old town wander, poncha at Câmara de Lobos, lights and music along Avenida Arriaga.
Day 2 — Cable cars · Gardens · Gentle feet
Funchal → Monte by cable car, Monte Palace Tropical Garden, glide to the Botanical Garden. Optional short Levada dos Tornos segment (easy · 1–2 h).
Day 3 — West curves · Skywalk
Half-day jeep to Cabo Girão skywalk and fishing town rhythms; back early for troupe rehearsals in town.
Day 4 — The Allegoric Parade
Day at leisure by the sea; night reserved seating for the main samba-style parade through Funchal. After-party or quiet terrace — your call.
Day 5 — Ocean breath
Morning dolphin & whale outing; lazy lunch at the market. Toboggan ride (Carreiros) from Monte for the brave.
Day 6 — Green tunnel interlude
Levada do Rei or Levada dos Balcões (2.7 km · 1 h) with views to the central massif. Evening street shows.
Day 7 — Trapalhão · Satire & smiles
Afternoon “Cortejo Trapalhão” fun parade in downtown. Sunset toast over the bay.
Day 8 — The return · Confetti still falling
Late breakfast, airport transfer, playlists and photos in hand.
