Funchal promenade, seafood and a gentle first night.
Day 2 — Cape & coves
Ponta de São Lourenço warm-up hike (7–8 km · 2.5–3 h). Afternoon paddleboard in calm waters.
Day 3 — Saturday within your stay — Pyromusical night
Day leisure or gardens. After dusk, the international fireworks competition lights Funchal’s bay. We secure seats or a boat deck, your choice.
Day 4 — Laurisilva mist
Levada das 25 Fontes & Risco (11–13 km · 4–5 h). Evening at leisure.
Day 5 — Dolphins · Bow waves
Morning boat ride with wildlife spotting; swim at Garajau reserve.
Day 6 — Plateau tracks · Sunset west
Paúl da Serra jeep traverse to viewpoints; dinner in Ponta do Sol. Optional evening ferry to Porto Santo.
Day 7 — Oasis or atelier
Option A: Porto Santo sands and Pico Branco & Terra Chã (7 km · 2.5 h). Option B: Wine tasting and atelier visits in Funchal’s old town.
Day 8 — The return · Salt on the skin
